Set in a seedy Philadelphia bar in 1959, this musical play follows the life of Billie Holiday as told through a haze of drug and alcohol-fueled memories. Andre’s love of the surreal inspired us to create onstage patrons who were empty shells of period clothes cast in plaster and fiberglass. An audience she performed for but never connected with.
