Behind The Scenes:
Although the story takes place in New York City and in the country just outside the city, we filmed the interiors of Jeanne Moreau’s house on a soundstage in Cologne, Germany due to the international financing of the film. It matched an exterior of a Victorian house we found in Rockland County. That location was supposed to feature an elaborate garden but had a barren yard. In a little over a week, we created a garden that was a mix of real plants and bushes, and silk flowers to bring out the needed color for the garden scenes.
